Second Anniversary celebrated. What was started with just 4 residents in 1992 has 25 residents now. With the steady growth Cadabam'S plans to build it's own premises in a larger area. About 7 and half acres of land is purchased in Gulakmale Village, near Kaggalipura on Kanakapura Road.

The 5th anniversary of Cadabam'S home for the mentally disabled was inaugurated by social welfare minister K.M.Krishna Reddy and minister for prisons V.Somanna on Sunday.
The new campus at Gulakamale Village is named after "Amitha" in memory of Late Sister of Mr.Ramesh C.M.The new campus is inaugurated by Late.Sri J.H.Patel, the then Chief minister of Karnataka, Dignitaries like Mr.Krishna Reddy, Minister for social welfare, Mr.V.Somanna, minister for Prisons and Home guards Sri.M.Srinivasa MLA Sri.H.D.Kumaraswamy M.P.and others are present.

Mr.A.R.R.Rao and Mrs.Rajamani Rao takes over as functional directors of this home, with Dr.Niranjan, Mr.C.M.Ramesh, Ms.M.K.Saraswathi, Mrs.Sudha R.Cadabam, Mr.C.S.Gopalakrishna, Mrs.Suvratha, Mrs.Sampath Kumari and Mrs.Surya Kumari as other Directors. Ms.M.K.Saraswathi takes over as Admnistrator of New Campus.
6th Anniversary celebrated in "Raj Bhavan", Bangalore with H.E. Sri.Khurshed Alam Khan, Governor of Karnataka as chief guest. The Governor appreciates the work done by Cadabam'S in the service of mentally disabled. The Governor goes round an exhibition of Paintings and Handicrafts done by Residents of Cadabam'S and select Two Paintings for Raj Bhavan and presents mementos to Six Residents of Cadabam'S who were gainfully employed outside after undergoing rehabilitation at Cadabam'S. "Ashwasan" Released. By now the strength of Cadabam'S has grown to 73.
7th Anniversary celebrated at the Sri. Adichunchunagiri Residential school for the blind, Ramanagaram. H.H.Sri.Sri.Sri.Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of the Adichunchanagiri Mutt and Sri.R.Ashok MLA graced the occasion. Cadabam'S donates uniforms to the children of Blind School. Additional land to the south of "Amitha" campus purchased for future expansion.
"Residential Rahabilitation Block" opened by H.H.Sri.Sri.Sri. Balgangadhara Swamiji. Dr.H.Narsimhiah renowned Gandhian and former V.C. of B.U. and president National Education Society was present. The total No. of Residents has grown to 87.
An Academic block consisting of Hostels for Trainee Nursing Students & Lecture Halls inaugurated by H.H.Sri.Sri.Sri.Balagangadhara Swamiji along with this one more residential block, recreational facilities, Ornamental Park, Horticultural Therapy section opened Smt.Nafes Fazal, Minister Sri.C.A.Someshwara Gupta, President Arya Mahila Sabha Sri.M.Srinivasa-Ex M.P. Sri.Balram Jakhad former Central minister and senior Congress leader participate foundation laid for a exclusive facility for the mentally ill, in the newly acquired land opposite to "Amitha" campus by H.H.Sri.Sri.Chandrasekharanandha giri swamiji of Sri.Vasavi Vidya Peetha. Mr.Ananthrag Yalamuri joins as one of the functional directors.
The Cadabam'S Home for the mentally ill in the old premises shifted to new campus "Amitha". With this No. of Residents goes to 140. Mr.A.R.R.Rao & Mrs.Rajamani R.Rao move to new campus as functional Directors. Dr.Niranjan continues as a member-Director. Ms.M.K.Saraswathi, Administrator becomes one of the Trustees. Dr.D.S.Aswath Dy.Commissioner, Bangalore Urban District visits and presents a computer to Govt.High School, Kaggalipura in a simple function.
Cadabam'S hosts a website and brings out a V.C.D. in English, Kannada and Hindi perhaps the first NGO in this field to do so.
Cadabam'S granted License under Mental Health Act 1987 as a Licensed Rehabilitation Centre.

CADABAM’S during the anniversary celebrations introduced one more award for Mental health professional along with Distinguished psychiatrist. This year Dr Anand Pandurangi received CADABAM’S Distinguished psychiatrist award and Dr R.Ranganathan received Distinguished Mental health professional award. Both awards were given by Dr H.R.Bharadwaj His Excellency Governor of Karnataka at Lalith Ashok Hotel.
